Took Me In

I was looking at external hard drives and i wanted to get one for music. I already know that they probably do not make one big enough for every song in the world. I was just wondering if any one knew how much memory every song in the world would take up? Lets say as of 2008 to make it easy. Does any one know or know some where where i can find this answer?
